  • Flashing Lights

Without a warning they appear, hindering my inner being

Flashing like an alley of neon lights, what is to come tonight

White, yellow, red and blue, I can’t imagine what to do

Closing my eyes to find some rest, it’s my anxiety at a test

Trying to call out for help, all I could do is whisper a yelp

They are finally gone, I’m glad its done

Those flashing lights messing with my mind.

  • Here Comes Another

Another song, another verse, another person without a voice.

Another car, another house, another person who has lost their touch.

Another dress, another skirt, another person left all alone.

Another book, another pen, another person without a word.

Another look, another sway, another person losing their way.

  • What Is?

Do memories come and go? Do you hold on to what is yours? Do you make other’s lives your priority? What is the reason? What is the cause?

What is the most important part of this plan? Do I understand? Do I realize the extent of the unknown?

What is the purpose? Who has the choice? What are the words that are popping in this verse?

Do I know what I want? Do I know what I need? Is this world supposed to be filled with equality?

My life or yours? What do I live? Are the memories real? Where they only a dream?

Figure this out? I have tried for so many years? Is this real? Is this still a dream?

Do I truly understand what the purpose is?
